Gorjuss Ruby with a mini Tutorial....

Good morning I had a few emails asking how I have 2 girls that are 18 if they are not twins it seems I have confused you all, Samara turned 18 yesterday she was due on the 30th May but came on the 7th March 12 weeks early and Shaleise is still 18 until she turns 19 in April, I wasn't that quick Samara was very early, Teej also followed early too he was 16 weeks early and although I would have loved a huge family we did not want to risk having another early baby, I hope this has explained to you why both my girls are 18 and not twins, I just like to confuse you......

Today I am sharing a Gorjuss Ruby with you, she has been coloured with Spectrum Noirs, I have has lots of question about these, I am using them as I wanted to try something new, I am really enjoying using them and I am going to save up for my own set these are Shaleise's, I am enjoying them and I  actually prefer using these...

She has been distressed with Tea Dye, the papers are First Edition Blank Canvass, I love the warm colours in this pad, and the darker paper is from my scrap draw and I cannot remember what it is called, I have used a Whimsy Ticket and a Whimsy Corner and added some scrap lace and my flowers are 40mm Tea Rose, 30mm Wild Roses and Cherry Blossoms....

I have not don't the inside as I have made this for a member of the staff and just popped in a blank insert for all the teachers to sign, now I have had several emails today asking for a tutorial on skin and hair, I have only been playing with the spectrum Noirs for just one week but I will share with you what I have learned, I am not an expert I just love to colour as it is so relaxing...

I am using Neenah Classic Card and I start with TN2 for her skin, just where I want it darker...

I go over it and pull it down with FS8 now do not panic that it looks bright...

I then pull this to the center of her face using FS1 and the same on her arms and neck...

I wanted her cheeks a bit brighter so added some FS8 just a little, skin is now done...

Now on to her hair....

I started by colouring all of her hair with TN2...

I added some strokes of TN3 but left a highlight...

I do the same with TN7 but not go as far...

At the very top of the hair line I use TN4...

I finish with TN3 and go over all the hair using little strokes, like I say I am no expert I am learning myself but they are so easy to use, here are the rest of the colours I used...

Skin: TN2, FS8, FS1...
Cheeks: FS8...
Hair: TN2, TN3, TN7, TN4, TN3...
Dress: CR1, FS4, FS3..
Tights: CR1, FS4, FS3, TN3, TN2...
Cat: IG3, IG2, IG1 and Blender...
Shoes: TN5, TN3, TN2...
Swing: TN5, TN2, IG3...
Shade: HB1, IG1, IB1, BT1 and Beldner...

I am entering this card in to the Spectrum Noir Challenge HERE and that is bling, she is covered in sparkle, and I have one gem....

Thank you so very much for looking today, biggest of hugs love Pops x x x
